|Safe Return to Play||
This hiking series will take place outdoors.
This group will comply with current, outdoor gathering limits.
All participants must attempt to stay 6ft apart at all times, including before, during and after hiking.
As this is an outdoor activity, masks are not required, though masks are strongly encouraged if the group finds themselves in a situation where remaining 6ft apart is challenging or not possible.
The hike leader will have hand sanitizer available. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own.
All participants are asked to bring their own snacks and water bottle. No sharing.
All other Safe Return to Play Guidelines must also be followed. Please read.
|What to Expect||
Have you hiked a local dune? Been to a local dam/reservoir other than Fanshawe? This hike series will explore forests, Conservation Areas and other enchanted places found just East, South and Northwest of London and finish up with some locations (weeks 5 and 6) conveniently near some popular beaches of Lake Huron (visit at your own Sunday leisure after the hike!).
This guided hike series will explore moderate terrain at surrounding conservation areas and trails that can be found with a 30-60 minute drive from the city of London.
For our introductory purposes, will keep to an average of 75 minutes per hike. All of these hikes can be either 1 or 2 hours in length however.
Registrants will receive detailed information about each trail start point for this series upon the close of registration.
We're thrilled to team up with Hike Ontario and TVTA hike leader, Rebecca Patkau, once again for the group leadership of this program. Rebecca has explored all these locations recently and is excited to share the treasures she has assembled.
Each registration will receive a Columbia Employee Store gift pack.
Hiking boots are especially encouraged due to seasonal weather and terrain.
|Hike Times||All treks are roughly 75 minutes (60min on good conditions) and will begin at 8:15am sharp (returning to your vehicle around 9:45am each morning + commute). Full location details and final schedule to be provided to all paid participants. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early to park and locate group/hike leader ensuring a prompt start time. Don't be late!
|Location||A final schedule, including parking information, specific hike locations, approximated travel times and other detailed information, will be released to participants after registration closes.

1) Check the weather, dress appropriately, tell someone where you are going and for how long, and have some fun!
2) Recommended Equipment: Participants are required to bring their own personal equipment/gear if they should feel the need, such as poles, hat and sunglasses and a rain jacket. Proper footwear is recommended (firm soled hiker) as hikes will take place on uneven ground and may include puddles and mud. We also strongly recommend bringing sunscreen and bug spray along with 1L of drinking water in a back pack on every trek.
3) Dogs: IF all registered members are comfortable with dogs, and IF trails allow dogs, they are welcome to join ON LEASH. Canine participation is not guaranteed at time of registration. No dogs allowed on the first hike (this is when participant canine comfort levels can be determined.)

EACH HIKE WILL BEGIN AT 8:15am sharp (arrive/meet for 8:00am).
