FALL 2020 SEASON League Details:
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, October 29 @ Noon

Payment must be received in full by the deadline to secure a spot in the league/program of your choice!

Safe Return to Play

This is an outdoor activity (obviously!)

Group size will be limited to 12 participants, well below the allowable group size for outdoor activities.

All participants must stay 6 feet apart at all times, including before, during and after the run.

All participants are asked to wear a face mask upon arrival, until all group members have met and are comfortably 6-feet apart. As this is an outdoor activity, masks are not required during the run.

The instructor will have hand sanitizer. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own.

All participants are required to bring their own sweat towel and water bottle. No sharing.

All participants must stay home if feeling unwell, and/or if they answer YES to any of the Self-Screening questions that must be answered before each class.

All other Safe Return to Play Guidelines must also be followed. Please read.

What to Expect

This is not your average running group. This is a weekly Poker Chip Run!

Each week the group will complete a Poker Chip Run! At 3 intervals along the run route runners will break briefly to collect their poker chips. At the end of the run each runner's chips will be tallied. A fun prize will be awarded to the runner with the highest chip score each week.

Participants should be able to comfortably run 3-5km. Join for the fun of running and the joy of meeting others who enjoy running and will motivate you to lace up and get out there!

The group will be lead by Kelly Gil. Kelly is a long time runner, and a big-hearted, warm, and super-fun gal.

League Dates

ALL RUNS ON MONDAYS.
Starts: Monday, November 2, 2020
Ends: Monday, December 14, 2020
In the event that a session cannot take place for any reason, a future run will be extended to 75 minutes+. There is no make-up date for this program. 

Total Weeks

7 runs

Game Times Group runs will start at 7pm and are expected to last 45 mins - 1 hour.
All runs will be ~5km long.

Spirit of the Program This group is best suited for individuals who can comfortably run for 3-5km. No PBs here, just super-fun exercise!

Class Size

A maximum of 12 participants per group. A minimum of 6 participants is required for the group to run.

Equipment

Participants must bring all of their own gear. Pockets recommended for your Poker Chips! Dress for the weather. Headlamps highly recommended.

Participant Information All paid participants will receive more detailed information about the program after registration closes.
Age & Waivers All participants MUST be 19 years of age or older, no exceptions. All participants must comply with FCSSC's Safe Return to Play Guidelines for the safety of all members, staff, and facility/program providers.
All participants MUST sign a waiver before playing, no exceptions. Signing the waiver on-line is super easy, just follow the steps during registration & checkout.

Location

The Running Group will meet in a different neighbourhood around the City each week so that you can explore & enjoy. Routes will vary but will all be road running, on well lit streets, sidewalks and hard surface trails.

We recommend that participants have personal transportation to get to and from each run departure point. Exact locations will be shared with paid participants after registration closes.
