Payment must be received in full by the deadline to secure a spot in the league/program of your choice!
FCSSC offers 3 ways to play:
1) Register a full team.
2) Register as an individual & we will place you on a team with other individuals.
3) Register as a small group (register as an individual & request to play with friends. We will place you & your friends on a team with other individuals or small groups).

Safe Return to Play

Per Phase 3 requirements, team sport leagues cannot exceed a MAXIMUM OF 50 PARTICIPANTS. That means that FCSSC must ensure that Curling teams have a max roster of 4 players and are assigned to a pool with a maximum of 11 other teams (so that the total participants in the pool does not exceed 50 players). Teams will only play the other teams in their pool for the entirety of the season on a weekly basis.

All participants must review and sign the STCC COVID Compliance and Release of Liability Forms before playing.

All players must arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to start time and be ready to play. No loitering in the clubhouse.

All participants are asked to come dressed to play (aside from boots and coat) and bring their own personal equipment (broom, slider, gripper) if possible. Borrowed equipment from FCSSC is possible but very limited and not recommended due to COVID.

All players must follow entry/exit signage at STCC and immediately access sanitizer from the facility or Game Coordinator on arrival and before departure.

STCC is using the Curling Ontario Contact Tracing App. Players are asked to sign up & use the app upon entry each week to speed up check in process.

All participants must attempt to stay 6 feet apart at all times when not sweeping.

All participants are asked to wear a face mask upon arrival, while in the lounge and during departure from the rink. Masks may be removed during game play or while consuming a beverage.

One half of the lounge has been designated on entry for coats and shoes, the other half for post-game social. Players must use separate exit door.

All teams must assign a Health Ambassador who will be named Co-Captain and who will monitor and assist members of his/her own team to follow the rule modifications, as well as FCSSC's Safe Return to Play Guidelines.

The on-site Game Coordinator will have additional hand sanitizer and equipment disinfecting spray available. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own and use regularly between ends.

All other Safe Return to Play Guidelines must also be followed. Please read.

What to Expect

A 2-hour draw, and social. STCC invites us to stay for a limited, physically-distanced social in the STCC licensed lounge after the draw.

You're playing for bragging rights this season! Score Reporting and Standings will be kept but there will not be playoffs, or prizes this season. Spirit Points always count. We WILL award the Steam Whistle Spirit Award this season, as usual!

Players in this co-ed league are a mix of new and experienced players, with varying skill levels, all playing with a for-fun attitude. Self-scored play governed by FCSSC’s unique Spirit Point System.

Spirit of the League

This league is all-welcome, all-for-fun. Competitive players are encouraged to choose a different league in which to play.

Please review FCSSC's Conduct Policy before registering.

League Format Each week teams will play one game against a new opponent for 120 min (2 hrs). Should you finish early, any time left after your game can be used for additional practice! All games are self-officiated, though FCSSC staff will be on-site at all times to protect player safety, help with the rules, and pump up the fun factor. Come dressed and ready to curl! One half of the lounge will be left for coats and shoes, the other for post curl social (lounge bar open).

Number of People on Ice

Though no gender minimum required for this sport, we do recommend at least 1 female and at least 1 male, 4 players total.

Recommended Roster Size

4 players however a team can play with 3.

NOTE: Captains - please pre-register a 5th should you like as a sub but note only 4 can come each week due to COVID-19 Provincial Return to Play gathering restrictions.

STCC will supply rocks. Because of COVID-19, players are asked to bring their own brooms, sliders, grippers. Should you need to borrow a broom or slider, please pre-arrange this with FCSSC. We will do our best to help.

*Sliders are optional.* Lots of players who are new to the sport prefer NOT to use a slider. The slider makes the ice even more slippery (a benefit when exiting the hack, throwing the stone).

Age & Waivers All players MUST be 19 years of age or older, no exceptions.
All players MUST sign a waiver before playing, no exceptions. Signing the waiver on-line is super easy, just follow the steps during registration & checkout.

               Curling Rules

It is the responsibility of all players to read, understand and comply with the general rules & club policies as well as the sport specific rules. (Captains: please ensure all members of your roster review the following before participating):

Modified Score & Spirit Point Reporting
Leagues will be played “for fun” with no playoffs. Scores and standings will still appear on our website. The “Spirit Score” system for Teams is still in place to share recognition or concerns with us.  No prizing or trophies will be awarded.

About Spirit Points: Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  Click for more information and how to properly award Spirit Points.

As a COVID safety precaution the Highland Country Club and London Curling Club have chosen to not pursue or severely limit rental of their facilities in Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 to community groups like FCSSC. This has created an extreme shortage of curling ice, and made us eternally grateful to those organizations that have welcomed FCSSC into their space.

HUGE THANK YOU to St. Thomas Curling Club, the play location for this league. (Approx 30min drive from downtown London)
