Safe Return to Play

Per Phase 3 requirements, team sport leagues cannot exceed a MAXIMUM OF 50 PARTICIPANTS. That means that FCSSC must ensure that Volleyball INT 6s teams have a max roster of 8 players and are assigned to a pool with a maximum of 5 other teams (6 teams total, so that the total participants in the pool does not exceed 50 players). Teams will only play the other teams in their pool for the entirety of the season.

All players must complete the Self-Screening upon arrival and check in at the sanitizing station upon.

Players must follow all signage at the courts.

A FCSSC player water station will be supplied for water bottles. Use of Easter Seal sinks or kitchens is not permitted due to COVID.

There must be NO INTENTIONAL CONTACT between players at any time. All participants must attempt to stay 6 feet apart at all times, including before, during and after games.

All participants must wear a face mask upon arrival and departure from the courts as turnover can be a busy time.

Masks are not required during play, however, they must be worn anytime a player is on the sidelines for breaks or waiting for their turn in the rotation.

Teams are asked to spread out as much as possible and keep players 6 feet apart and masked on the side of the courts.

All teams must assign a Health Ambassador who will be named Co-Captain and who will monitor and assist members of his/her own team to follow the rule modifications, as well as FCSSC's Safe Return to Play Guidelines.

Hand sanitizer will be readily available all around the gym space. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own.

All participants are asked to bring their own personal equipment, like a ball for warm up, sweat towel, arm sleeves (if able), and water bottle.

The net and game balls will be sanitized at regular intervals throughout game play.

COVID Safety Rules Modifications for this sport are in effect and must be complied with at all times during game play.

All other Safe Return to Play Guidelines must also be followed. Please read.

Leagues will be played “for fun” with no playoffs. Scores and standings will still appear on our website. The “Spirit Score” system for Teams is still in place to share recognition or concerns with us.  No prizing or trophies will be awarded.

About Spirit Points: Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  Click for more information and how to properly award Spirit Points.

Location

Due to COVID the Thames Valley District School Board, The London District Catholic School Board, The City of London, as well as most non-profits, private schools and churches have chosen to disallow or severely limit rental of their facilities to community groups like FCSSC. This has created an extreme shortage of play space, and made us eternally grateful to those organizations that have welcomed FCSSC in their space.

HUGE THANK YOU to EASTER SEALS CAMP WOODEDEN, the play location for this league. FCSSC will be the ONLY USER of this gymnasium for the Winter season.
