Winter 2022 League Details:
REMEMBER: Registration deadline for WINTER 2022 leagues is Monday, January 3rd!

Payment must be received in full by the deadline to secure a spot in the league/program of your choice!
FCSSC offers 3 ways to play:
1) Register a full team.
2) Register as an individual & we will place you on a team with other individuals.
3) Register as a small group (register as an individual & request to play with friends. We will place you & your friends on a team with other individuals or small groups).

Safe Play

All participants must comply with FCSSC's Safe Play Guidelines. Please read before registering.

ALL players under the age of 26 must review and acknowledge ROWAN'S LAW prior to registration.

Current regulations (subject to change) permit the option of 1 maskless sweeper or two masked sweepers per team. Face masks may be removed by other players when distancing is respected.

Social distancing hashmarks have been installed at the Highland and are to be respected.

It is recommended only 1 vice puts score up for both teams to minimize touching.

After September 22, the Government of Ontario requires that all adults need to be fully vaccinated, and provide proof of vaccination along with photo ID in order to access indoor fitness and recreational facilities. Because FCSSC leagues will play in indoor recreational facilities this Winter, only fully vaccinated individuals can play in indoor leagues. Please do not register if you will not be able to meet this requirement. There will be no credits/refunds for those who cannot comply.

Spirit of the League

This league is all-welcome, all-for-fun. Competitive players are encouraged to choose a different league in which to play. Please select the pool that best fits your skill level, so that your team and your opponent, have fairly-matched games throughout the season.

Please review FCSSC's Conduct Policy before registering.

League Format Each week teams will play one game against the same opponent in 90 minutes.  All games are self-officiated, though FCSSC staff will be on-site at all times to protect player safety, help with the rules, and pump up the fun factor.

Number of People on Ice

No gender minimum required for this sport; we do recommend at least 1 female and at least 1 male, 4 players total.

Recommended Roster Size

4-5 players

The Highland will supply rocks and brooms. Members are encouraged to bring their own sliders (click for an example). See RULES for regulation equipment details. *Sliders are optional.* Lots of players who are new to the sport prefer NOT to use a slider. The slider makes the ice even more slippery (a benefit when exiting the hack, throwing the stone).

Age & Waivers

All players MUST be 19 years of age or older, no exceptions.

ALL players under the age of 26 must review and acknowledge ROWAN'S LAW prior to registration.

All players MUST sign a waiver before playing, no exceptions. Signing the waiver on-line is super easy, just follow the steps during registration & checkout.

               Curling Rules

It is the responsibility of all players to read, understand and comply with the general rules & club policies as well as the sport specific rules. (Captains: please ensure all members of your roster review the following before participating):

About Spirit Points: Spirit points are awarded to a team from their opponent after each game to encourage sportsmanship, honesty, integrity and fair play.  Click for more information and how to properly award Spirit Points.

This league will play at the Highland Country Club, located at 1922 Highland Heights, London, ON N6C 2T4.

Players will enter through lower WEST entrance.
