FCSSC wants you to PLAY SAFE, on and off the court!

To help people better understand the connection between alcohol consumption and health, the Middlesex-London Health Unit is spreading an important message. Please, RETHINK YOUR DRINKING.

www.rethinkyourdrinking.ca, offers information on standard drink sizes, Canada’s Low-Risk Alcohol Drinking Guidelines (LRADGs), the link between alcohol and chronic disease, how alcohol affects men and women differently, and helpful resources. When it comes to alcohol, remember:

  • The size of the drink matters because the amount of alcohol in individual alcoholic beverages can vary.
  • Understanding the amount of alcohol in a drink allows a person to accurately calculate how much they are drinking.
  • Knowing how much you are drinking and comparing that to the recommended LRADGs allows a person to make informed choices about their drinking behaviours and level of risk of alcohol-related harm.
  • Check out this great video to help Understand Canada’s Low-Risk Alcohol Drinking Guidelines
